HOW TO REPORT MISSING LIVESTOCK

If you believe that you are missing livestock you should immediately contact your local livestock inspector or the OII office at 250-314-9686 or by email at info@ownership_id.com. The information that you will have to supply will be:

• a complete description of the animal(s);
• the number missing;
• the brand(s) on the animal(s);
• the location missing from; and,
• your name and address.

This information will them be circulated to the inspection staff in BC along with the RCMP and adjoining livestock inspection agencies.

In most cases if the livestock are carrying a registered BC brand they can be easily traced. If unbranded it is far more difficult to trace them.
